Yoga in Sardinia aims to promote and educate the practices and principles of Yoga, Meditation and Holistic Health. To encourage our students, and others, to build a lifelong practice to heal, grow and find enduring happiness, clarity and peace.
We aim to provide yoga and meditation courses, seminars and workshops and Holistic Therapy treatments to the local population and the wider global community by way of retreats and internet access to information and downloads.
We encourage and promote any cultural activities which expand knowledge and experience of the practices of Yoga, Meditation and Holistic Health.
It is also our aim to build and create a centre for the activities of the Association and compatible activities by other teachers and groups. If you would like to help us with this, please read more about the project here.
We would like to be to be able to develop a small library of books about yoga, meditation, pranayama and other spiritual books for our members.

Non violence, respect, kindness, equality and compassion. These principles are at the core of our values, to understand and teach that these values apply not only in our actions, but also words and thoughts. We encourage all to free themselves of the tyranny of the Ego, by allowing the light of awareness to recognise the harm that the Ego does, not only to our treatment of others, but also the suffering it creates within our own lives, we can learn to free ourselves from our own suffering and to be a positive influence on the lives of others. Learning to understand that the actions of others are being created by their own egos and they are all also suffering, we can learn to be more compassionate and understanding, to free ourselves from the desire or need to respond to the negative actions of others and to become truly at peace.
The essence of non violence applies not only to others, but also to ourselves. We encourage our students to practice with patience and loving kindness towards themselves and to always respect the limitations of their body and mind in each moment. Understanding that we are all doing the best we can in this moment and if we make a mistake or something doesn’t go the way we would like, we can choose to begin again, in each moment, with an attitude of patience, forgiveness and without self-judgement, not only on the yoga mat or meditation cushion, but also in our daily lives.
